Talbot Bible Lands
What is Talbot Bible Lands?
Talbot Bible Lands is a 4-unit interterm course, combined with a required Fall semester class that precedes the trip, that gives students a unique perspective on the Biblical lands, integrating archaeology, geography, and history on-site.
The Bible has been read and studied by innumerable people worldwide. Yet no matter how familiar we may be with the words in the Bible, being able to connect them with real places brings a new dimension to our understanding.
Who can go with Talbot Bible Lands?
Every student enrolled at the graduate level of Talbot School of Theology is eligible to apply for the course and travel. Other Biola University graduate students may apply as well (and undergraduates with permission may apply and be placed on a waiting list). If there are still openings on August 25, we will begin actual acceptance of those on the waiting list. Spouses and alumni wishing to apply must register at Biola as Special Students.
This is a study tour that is both academically rigorous and at times physically challenging.
When is Talbot Bible Lands going?
Our travel dates to Turkey, Greece, and Rome are December 27, 2010 to January 21, 2011. In addition to the travel, a required preparation class meets during the Fall Semester on Monday evenings.
What does Talbot Bible Lands cost?
The cost is $4995.00, which includes tuition, airfare, accommodations, breakfasts, most dinners, tips, and entrance fees. There are minimal fees for registration, some class supplies, etc.
